Hamze family murders probed by NSW Police

Detectives investigating the deaths of Salim and Toufik Hamze have seized firearms and a Ford Mustang believed to have been used as a getaway car.

Investigators believe that the high-powered car, which had allegedly been stolen earlier this month, was the second getaway car used to flee the Guildford address at which the father and son were shot dead last Wednesday morning.

Police have linked the fatal shootings to ongoing tensions between rival crime networks affiliated with the Alameddine and Hamzy families across south-west Sydney.

The car was seized at a nearby apartment block on Friday last week.
